渐变多模光纤光束自清洁效应的鲁棒性

摘要:当光通过多模波导传播时,多模之间的干扰通常会导致复杂的光模式。然而,在高输入光功率下,非线性效应占主导地位,会发生一种明显的现象:光场"自清洁"成稳定的钟形光束。本文研究了脉冲在梯度折射率多模光纤(grin-mmfs)中传输的模态动力学,主要研究了光束自清洁(bsc)效应。通过求解多模非线性schr?dinger方程(mmnlse),深入分析了光纤弯曲对bsc效应的影响。结果表明,bsc效应对光纤弯曲具有很强的鲁棒性,其根本原因是传输常数满足准共振条件。研究还探讨了优化纤维参数的策略,以提高bsc效应对纤维弯曲的鲁棒性。

abstract:when light propagates through multimode waveguides, interference between multiple modes typically leads to complex light patterns. however, under high input optical power, where nonlinear effects dominate, a distinct phenomenon occurs: the light field \'self-cleans\' into a stable, bell-shaped beam. this study investigates the modal dynamics of pulse propagation in graded-index multimode fibers (grin-mmfs), focusing on the beam self-cleaning (bsc) effect. by solving the multimode nonlinear schr?dinger equation (mmnlse), we thoroughly analyze the impact of fiber bending on the bsc effect. the results demonstrate that the bsc effect is highly robust to fiber bending, with its underlying cause attributed to the propagation constants satisfying quasi-resonance conditions. the study also explores strategies for optimizing fiber parameters to enhance the bsc effect\'s robustness to fiber bending. .
