\'environmental standard limit concentration arsenic\' induced cardiovascular developmental toxicity in zebrafish
abstract:arsenic is a harmful substance that poses a serious threat to human cardiovascular health. to explore the effects of environmental concentrations of arsenic on cardiovascular development, this study exposed zebrafish embryos to \'environmental standard limit concentrations\' arsenic (5, 10, 50, 150, and 500 μg/l) for a duration of 4 to 120 hpf (hours post-fertilization). morphological and functional indicators of cardiovascular development in zebrafish were evaluated, including heart malformation rate, sinus venosus-bulbus arteriosus distance, heart rate, ventricular fractional shortening, and hemodynamics. the expression of genes related to cardiovascular development in zebrafish was detected using quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qrt-pcr, or qpcr for short). the results showed that \'environmental standard limit concentrations\' arsenic could affect cardiovascular development in zebrafish, specifically manifesting as a slower heart rate, decreased ventricular fractional shortening, slower blood flow, and abnormal expression of genes related to cardiovascular development.
